JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Furniture Delivery Driver
DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE: 5/25/23
SUMMARY: Efficiently deliver furniture to customers, follow driver safety rules, process paperwork accurately, and provide professional customer service. Assist in the warehouse loading trucks, pulling orders and performing other duties at the request of the Supervisor or Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
2. Provide excellent customer service.
a. Call customers regarding time of delivery.
b. Be honest regarding status of delivery or merchandise.
c. Handle all customer complaints professionally.
d. Handle all customer requests professionally.
3. Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time.
4. Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform pre-trip inspection.
5. Report accidents and injuries and any damage to equipment immediately.
6. Assist in shipping and loading trucks for afternoon routes and organize product.
7. Follow all policies and procedures as designated by position.
8. Responsible for upkeep of vehicles at end of shift: clean cab and box.
9. Work overtime if required as requested by the Supervisor.
10. Perform other duties requested by the Supervisor or Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 0 employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. At least one (1) Year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a box truck.
3. Knowledge of the geographical area preferred.
4. Valid Driver’s License.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
7. Proven ability to perform simple arithmetic.
8. Strong organizational skills.
9. Commitment to excellence and high standards.
10. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

14. Ability to operate 26 foot box truck
